The one-pump design featured in Pit Boss® jacks minimizes time in the pit, maximizing track time and promising crucial seconds critical in all types of racing. Powerful and trim, the Pit Boss® jack is essential for success. The hydraulics have been engineered to prevent failure and leakage by the use of superior internal components.
As a result, the Pit Boss® has earned a reputation that compares to no other product of its type. Since its debut in the 1995 racing season, the Pit Boss® has proven its reliability in the winning circles of NASCAR and Open Wheel racing.
The first Pit Boss jack was created out of necessity when company founder John Bickford sought a better pit stop jack for his stepson Jeff Gordon and his Hendrick Motorsports team. Jeff and the Rainbow Warriors claimed the 1995 NASCAR Winston Cup Championship with the assistance of the Pit Boss "one-pump" aluminum race jack. Several years later the brand expanded to include the Shop Boss, a beautifully crafted aluminum garage jack manufactured to the same tight tolerances as our race jacks. The Shop Boss can be seen throughout the NASCAR garage area.
In 2020 the company was purchased by CSI and moved to it's Brownsburg, Indiana location. CSI owner Garrett Andrews was an employee of Bickford's. His knowledge and passion for the brand lead Pit Boss into the next era. CSI is the parent company for Competition Suspension Inc., KT Steering Service and PitLogic. These brands service the racing community around the world with outstanding components, service and industry leading customer support. The entire line of Pit Boss jacks and components are completely engineered and manufactured in the USA.
